choices, choices

So I got pulled into a mini-meeting today.

Well, not really.
More like an ambush.

One of our company VP's cornered me and dragged me (seriously...he took me by the hand and pulled me into a corner) and brought me to where my former boss and her boss were sitting.  He sits me down and was like, "We REALLY want you to move here to the headquarters."

<sigh>  I learned a long time ago to never say an outright No to anything, because who knows what will open up.

At the same time, the manager of our SF office has been asking me to move to their office and join their team and change roles, so that I'm overseeing about 15 - 20 Kumon centers in the San Jose/Milpitas/Cupertino/South Bay area.

I dunno.  If my parents weren't in Cali, I wouldn't mind relocating here to New Jersey.
Or if I wasn't serving at GAP at church, I wouldn't mind moving back to the Bay Area.

But they are.
And I am.  And I like it.

But how many other times like this will there be, career-wise?  And would I be a fool for passing up an opportunity like this?

<sigh>

I like entries with substances such as this.  If it is a post of value, then you'll get a worthwhile answer from me.  Otherwise, I'll become a jokester, haha.  But that's beside the point. ;)

To answer your question:  I honestly think that it is a matter of what you hold dear to heart with and what out of those set of choices do you deem more important to you.  True, it is wise to say, to never say no to anything in life for we do not know what doors of opportunity could open up to us.  And as we all come to understand, life is about taking chances or risks, if you will.  But the biggest question is and truly, only you can determine this - what do "you" Jason,  want?  When you can search for the answers and really, the answers lies within yourself.  And I think you know the answers to this already.  But you'd still like to get feedbacks or insights from others.  Considerably, it is a simple question but I think that life can hit us with the simpliest questions and yet we merely complicates them because we haven't yet set our priorities straight.  And that is speaking in terms of society as a whole.

I hope you'll come to a wise decison, Jase.  "Ask and you shall be given."  I'll pray for you.

No matter where you go, there are always ministry needs as well as job opportunities. One thing I learned to ask myself when making big life choices is "Where / How can I glorify God the most?"...and then I start asking God to close the extra doors. =) I know that doesn't answer your question, but I think you already know where your heart is. Will be praying for your decision, my friend.

Sometimes there is no 'right' choice. But whatever path you choose, you can always live your life in a way pleasing to God. It is not so much choosing the right thing, but doing things the right way.

Duh, move to Jersey so you'll be close to nyc =P. Jk. I know what you mean because sometimes I don't know if something is an opportunity given by God or because I think it is, but I guess like a person said above, your purpose is wherever you can bring the most glory to God's kingdom. Maybe you're meant to go somewhere else, and touch people's lives there =P. God put these opportunities in your life for a reason--just pray to find out what they are haha. Gluck!

@LuckyRice - You know, I would seriously not move to NJ because nothing can beat Cali weather. hehehehe...

Maybe I can pray that God will invent the teleporter faster. That way, I can work in NJ and then live/sleep/hang out in LA after work. heheheheh...
